Those of us who are hosts are citizens who take others into our homes. We welcome and personally attend to our guests. Our activity is not driven by a profit motive nor is it professional. We believe that sharing what we have meets a social demand, a new worldwide trend: the collaborative economy, which is laying the foundations for a fairer, more altruistic, more hospitable society that uses resources in a more efficient manner. Consequently, we feel responsible for and involved in defending a new approach to tourism based on the criteria of sustainability and sharing.
We believe we offer a type of accommodation that is in keeping with an alternative approach to travelling and which complements the professional hotel and catering sector. Our activity enables guests to learn about the local culture and forges bonds between people from different places. It also has a positive impact on the neighbourhood economy, boosts the local economic fabric, contributes to the work of entrepreneurs and small shops and maintains the autonomy of household incomes.
